Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

My close friend owns a full service repair shop and for a steak-n-eggs brekkie on a consistent basis as a retainer , he helps me troubleshoot and do work on a lift in his shop. He has this beautiful ratchet. I know I’m a geek when I find a ratchet beautiful . Not very common on Ebay, and about $50 used.

Wait, is that a tiny little handle on 3/8" drive? I might need one, too.

Looks like 1/2” on a 1/4” sized ratchet. Brilliant!

A slender, 1/4" drive handle, yes. Feels great in the hand and uses the heavier, 3/8" sockets.

Never noticed that before. I do oil, tire rotation and inspection every 5,000 miles on the odometer, diligently.

I think I may just need one as well.

It’s kind of a weird thing. I regularly inventory my tool set, which I do not consider to be particularly extensive, and I consistently conclude that I don’t really need anything else. I will probably acquire a set of deep-well 1/2" metric sockets at some point, but when I stumbled onto this ratchet, I’d never seen anything like it. Feels great in the hand, as well. Most of the time, my hands are more than strong enough to apply the necessary torque with a smaller wrench. In fact, most mid- sized fasteners don’t require boo-coo torque anyhow. Electric impact guns are all the rage right now, and lots of fun to use, but for the cost of one of those, I can spin a ratchet for a long time . And I’d rather spend the money on one of these.

Wrench candy.

Cute, but the beauty of the Snap-on ratchet is its slender handle. Really feels great in the hand.
